In an old district in the New Territories, Charlie, who pretends to be an ALS patient just to gain others’ sympathy and take advantage, runs a charitable organization “Doggie’s Home” – a place where Charlie secretly carries out different sorts of nasty business. The hereditary village chief, Fung Yan-bing, is a devious bully who enjoys testing others’ with money and takes advantage of his fellows by fraud. Under his mum’s pressure, Bing aims to get married soon, but he wants a woman who is equally devious.
One day, an attractive woman Yu Zan arrives in this neighborhood. This newcomer charms Charlie and Bing, they try to build up a close relationship with Zan by doing her a lot of favors. Their acts, sometimes annoying and sometimes amusing, bring comfort to Zan during her pregnancy. Zan is carrying the baby of a well-known tycoon’s heir, Mr. Shi. However, Mr. Shi intends to pay Zan after she gives birth to the baby in exchange for her full abandonment of the baby. Zan then decides to hide before she delivers the baby, in order to ask for a higher offer from Mr. Shi. To have good care during her pregnancy, Zan lies to Charlie and Bing and makes them believe that they are the possible father-to-be. Although Charlie and Bing both feel unsettled, they step up and protect Zan when she puts herself in danger during a fight. Since then the three of them always spend time together, and their mentalities begin to change gradually while experiencing the miracle of the new life, until one day Mr. Shi eventually locates Zan.
Mr. Shi invites Charlie and Bing to his villa. He moves them with a teary speech and his love story with Zan. They promise to take Mr. Shi to see Zan. However, Charlie and Bing will soon realize they have fallen into Mr. Shi’s trap…
